Susan has worked with clay for over 25 years and has an MFA in ceramics from LSU. Having grown up in Chapel Hill, Susan has since lived in many places, working as a studio artist, teacher, and arts professional. Susan served as President of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts and has dedicated many years toward promoting education, improving quality, and developing community support for potters and ceramics. She created ClayWorks Studio and Gallery, a cooperative studio and clay gallery, while in Charleston,SC before moving back to NC. She exhibits in many national, as well as international exhibitions, and she has taught at craft schools such as Penland and Arrowmont. Susan has just built her new studio and incorporated a beautiful gallery room to keep work on display year round. Go to complete vita/resume
